Syllèctis began with a watch enthusiast’s experience of collecting: the pleasure of finding a piece, learning its story and noticing details that other people might never see.

Alongside that pleasure was a familiar gap. A collection could be carefully built, yet its photographs, records and stories remained scattered—and finding people nearby who shared the same curiosity was not always easy.

Syllèctis takes inspiration from συλλέκτης, the Greek word for “collector.” We adapted it into a name of our own, keeping the collector at the centre of the idea.

Our mark is a custom interpretation of lowercase sigma, the first letter of the Greek word that inspired Syllèctis. Its circular form echoes the watch dial, while its open shape suggests a collecting journey that continues.
